Dr. Nikolas Epp

Scientist turned executive turned private advisor.

A PhD in cell biology with distinction from the German Cancer Research Center, research at ETH Zurich, and a background in quantum chemistry.

Fifteen years in global corporate leadership, seven in senior executive functions, leading product launches, award-winning initiatives, and the development of a new business unit successfully licensed at exit.

Three decades of parallel research into human behaviour, consciousness, and performance.

The Work

Dr. Nikolas's work sits at the intersection of three disciplines rarely combined: the neuroscience of human performance, the organisational dynamics of senior leadership, and the science of lasting behavioural change.

His research, developed in collaboration with the St. Gallen Business School, examines how unconscious stress patterns silently undermine decision-making, leadership effectiveness, and organisational culture. The Unconscious Stress Model is the scientific foundation. The Biology of Certainty is the method. Human Intelligence is the result.

He has spoken at private banking summits, WEF-adjacent forums, and executive retreats across Europe, and lectures in healthy leadership at the iKF Business School Lucerne. He works in English and German.

What he found, across two decades in research and corporate leadership, is that the most consequential variable in any organisation is the internal state of the person leading it.

The Person

Outside this work, Dr. Nikolas is a licensed instinctive archery trainer and practises historical European martial arts. Disciplines that demand the same integration of precision, awareness, and presence that defines his advisory work. He is based in Zurich, Switzerland.
